Denstone Coach Education

Its that time of year again and Ive just staggered back from the totally intense, awe inspiring and totally tiring week at Denstone. We work all week with the best coach educators, sword in hand for 9 hrs a day on the British Academy of Fencing Coaches Course. Along with working muscles I didnt even know I had, I have learnt so many new things I cant wait to start passing them on to my students.

A huge thankyou to all the professors on the course especially Prof. Alistair Urquhart who has the patience of a saint and who I was really priviledged to work with.

Denstone British Academy of Fencing

I just spent the half term holiday on the twice yearly residential course, at Denstone College, run by the British Academy of Fencing. It is an intensive coaches education course and Im very proud to say I passed my Level 2 Foil. It was a great opportunity to work with some really talented coaches and competitive fencers.  With about 10 hours a day fencing it was one of the most physically and mentally demanding courses I have ever done………………. and I cant wait to go back at Easter to take my next one!!
